Clearly identifying what areas of your business operation are open to the public and what areas are private is a good practice. The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right of people to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures in areas where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. ICE officers cannot enter private areas of a workplace without permission or a judicial warrant signed by a judge that specifically grants access.
